Hot Hot Hot

With the tropical wave going north it was very very hot today with not a cloud in the sky. Trev had brought the pot and we were glad for the dry wood and fig straw.
I finished cleaning and moling and feeding the last fig trees in the stones by the river
glancing back to make sure that the pot was still on the boil.
 TnT weeded some tania

and we all moled and applied enough pen manure to keep it happy.

Rain and Raising

This morning a lot or rain fell and Trev weeded the short crops in
the land below the house. After lunch we came up to Corn Buck.
Trev met the other Trevor, who is giving us a hand. The river was
much higher and good to see. T&T raised up one of the cow pen

and we set to moling the peas and fig trees before treating them
to a dressing of  the well rotted cow manure.

July Work in Progress

Below the pear tree that we thought had died but has decided not to, Trev continues to cutlass.
The same piece or land looking up to where the shed is. It is falling down now and will need replacing.

.
Trev strews the grass to help the land. We have had some rain but the water table has not risen as yet.
All clean now.

Friday 20th

Trev cleared
the footpath above
the bamboo by
the river
where we
used to
bathe and
he now has
planted
corn
and
peas

 sorrel
between the
stones
and
more corn
and peas
between
the fig
by the stones
at the
right
of the
entrance
by the
river

 The footpath
is almost
clear
up to
the golden
apple

and from the
top, all the land
below the
julie is now
clean.

Absence and Advantage

Having been excused to attend to domestic chores and artistic
pursuits, Trev takes full advantage of wifey's absence and no plea
of' take a rest' and clears all the coconut trees of bush over two mornings.
He  also sneaks the camera. :)

June day

All in all a
good day,
some cows
were by
the river
on our
arrival
but the
owner
came and
took
them.
yes,
they  were
by the
river
but it
is so
low
you can
barely
see it.

 The
resident
bull
calf
and cow
seem
pleased
to
see us
 and T
made
a new
shelter
from
sunshine
and
showers.
This is
the spot
where
we once
lived
 it
would
be good
to have
a little
ajupa
here
again.
I
cutlass
on top
between
stones
and T
does
the
same
below.

When
we
finish
we
have
a bite
to eat
and
a relax
 and
then
go and
pick
mango
on
top
where
the
ravine
is
bone
dry.

 I
wonder
when
the
Immortal
tree
will
fall
and
watch
Ross
Hill
watching
us.
